DMH worked closely with the MA Department of Public Health Suicide Prevention Program to draft a successful proposal to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which funded comprehensive evidence based approaches to suicide prevention for Massachusetts groups at above average risk for suicide prevention, including hispanic men in the northeastern part of the state. The grant included funds to employ a researcher to evaluate the new culturally and linguistically competent services to be developed.
