DMA conducted a needs assessment of addiction treatment and recovery services in Boston for the then newly-formed Mayor's Office of Recovery Services in collaboration with an Addiction Recovery Advisory Group comprised of addiction experts and community stakeholders convened by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

DMA's report, Addiction and Recovery Services in the City of Boston: A Blueprint for Building a Better System of Care includes recommendations that are guiding the City's efforts to fill service gaps, strengthening the system of care and recovery, and establishing the role and activities of the Mayor’s Office of Recovery Services.
