
Mr. Mehta joined DMA in January 2022. He provides qualitative and quantitative analysis, writing, and project management support.
Currently he assists with DMA’s work on SAMHSA-related evaluations and proposals; Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services workforce development and recovery support services; and helps to update content on the Careers of Substance and Massachusetts Recovery Coach Hub websites. He has also worked on reports for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts Foundation and the Maine Pediatric & Behavioral Health Partnership (MPBHP) of the Maine CDC.
Before joining DMA, Mr. Mehta worked as a paralegal for a law firm specializing in the preparation of affirmative action plans for corporations.While in college, He served as an Economic Development Intern for the Orange County Office of Economic Development, an intern for the American Health Associates, and a Research Assistant with the Early Steps Lab at the University of Virginia.
Mr. Mehta earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Psychology and Economics. He graduated with high distinction and completed a critical literature review for his Thesis for Distinguished Majors on “The Impact of Childhood Trauma on the Likelihood of Developing a Substance Use Disorder.” He will be attending the Boston University School of Public Health in the fall of 2023 to begin a Masters in Public Health, with a concentration in mental health and substance use.
